Amicalola Falls located in Dawsonville, Georgia. Approximately, 90 minutes drive from Atlanta.
It is the highest Waterfall in Georgia.
After entering into the park,encounters Visitors Center. It serves as the starting point for the Appalachian Trail.
Falls themselves is beautiful, accessible for viewing at the mid-point, base or top with good parking facilities.
If you want some good exercise, you can climb around 600 steps either from bottom or from top.
Amicalola Falls State Park also offers many hiking trails, a guest lodge, restaurant, cabins, a shelter for long-distance Appalachian Trail hikers, a campground
