Gibbs Garden was found by Jim Gibbs. He travelled across many Nation and was impressed by different styles of Garden around the world. So, he made an effort to construct the garden depicting different wordly varieties of Garden. The property covers 292 acres including his house(Manor House), with Garden alone constitues about 220 acres.

There are about 24 ponds, 32 bridges and 19 waterfalls here. Several varieties of plants are implanted, which provides spectacular Fall colours.

The gardens are composed of 16 gardens including 3 feature gardens – Manor House Gardens, Japanese and Waterlily Gardens.

Large Japanese maples, American hollies and willow oaks were planted closer to the “Manor house”. The home site is one of the highest crests in northeast Cherokee County, Georgia, with a splendid view of the Northern Georgia mountains. The house was placed 150 feet above the water gardens and 30 feet below the crest capturing the air currents to flow through the summer house.

Japanese Garden provides you a feel of being in Japan and enjoying there itself. Best highlighted part is., we can see the reflection of each view in the pond. Every garden is designed with an eye captivating view. Best fall colour is enjoyable in the Japanese Garden of Gibbs Garden.
