Badam Halwa

Badam Halwa is a healthy Indian sweet. During the friends gathering at home, I wanted to try out a recipe with Almonds and was searching over the Internet for recipes. When I was seeing this recipe in Raks Kichen, wanted to try out on my own. It turned out to be so tasty and all of us who gathered at home liked it so much

Ingredients:

  • Badam – 400 gms
  • Sugar- 400 gms
  • Cardamom – 2 tbsp
  • Ghee -4 tbsp
  • Milk -1/2 Cup
  • Water (required to soak Badam)

Method:

  • Boil water for 5 minutes and put Badam in it. Switch off Flame and set aside to cool

  • Once it gets cooled, peel off its skin. Make sure to remove the skins perfectly

  • Grind the badam with Milk into fine paste

  • Heat a pan, add ghee , add the badam paste we prepared, saute it for 2 minutes to make badam paste mix with ghee. (If you want you can add more amount of ghee)

  • Add Sugar and saute it,sugar gets melted after some time. Continuously saute it in medium flame for about 20-25 minutes

  • Switch off the stove once the halwa gets separated from vessel
  • Grease ghee in butter paper, pour the halwa in it and allow it to cool

  • Ready to Serve adding few nuts in it.
