Butter Naan

Butter Naan is a North Indian dish I always order whenever I visit any restaurants as we do not normally prepare at home.So, it is one of the recipe I wanted to try out when I initially started to cook. In the early days, I thought it will be a tougher recipe to try out. But once did cook it , it happen to be so easy similar to Chapathi or Roti. This recipe goes well with Paneer Butter Masala

Preparation Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins/Naan | Serves: 2-3


  • Dry Yeast – 2 tbsp
  • Maida -Flour 2 Cup (200 gm)
  • Butter
  • Sugar – 1tbsp
  • Salt, Water- as needed


  • Add Sugar in Warm Water(1/2 cup) with dry yeast. Wait for 10 minutes


  • Once the yeast develops, add it to maida flour, make a dough


  • Keep the dough in warm place for 1.5 hours (till size gets doubled)
  • Roll it as chapathi


  • Use Dosa Tawa for roasting and apply butter on both sides
  • Add Garlic/cashews to make garlic/cashew naan
