Donuts are nothing but sweet vadai I used to mention. . I prepared this recipe during a birthday celebration at home.It follows very simple process of preparing dough like Chapathi dough. Donuts are traditionally round in shape but I even did other shapes at home (which I did not mention here). I did not get the perfect round shape as I cut it by myself. In shops, donut cutters are available

Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 3 mins/ donut

Ingredients:

For Dough:

  • Maida -300 gms
  • Sugar -1 tbsp
  • Butter – 10 gms
  • Milk – 1/2 Cup
  • Curd – 1 tbsp
  • Water as required
  • Salt as required

For Frying and Seasoning:

  • Oil
  • Sprinkles
  • chocolate syrup
  • Sugar Syrup

Method:

  • Mix all ingredients required to prepare dough

 

  • Knead for 10 to 15 minutes and prepare dough ready for our donuts and set it aside for 30 minutes
  • After 30 minutes, split the dough into 7-8 parts, roll into round shape. Note that, you have to maintain thickness while rolling into chapathi

 

  • Use 2 lids (1 small, 1 large) for shaping into donuts

  • Fry it in oil pan

  • Depends on your taste, coat the upper part in sugar syrup/chocolate syrup/sprinkles.
  • Yummy !!! Donuts are ready to eat
