Coconut Sweets are always tempting and mouth-watering. In my childhood, my mom used to do coconut burfis at home during diwali times. So, I had in mind of trying out this recipe when I started to cook on my own. On the day I tried out the recipe, instead of standing near the stove for long time, I tried it out with Oven, which ultimately required less time from my end for the wonderful recipe. It came out more like cake than burfi 🙂
Ingredients:
Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins
- Maida -200 gms
- Powdered Sugar -175 gms
- Coconut Scrapped -100 gms
- Milk – 4 tbsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp (grinded)
- Water as required
- Baking powder – 1tbsp
Method:
- Take a bowl , add maida, powdered sugar, grated coconut, milk, ghee and milk
- Add water little by little to make a cake batter consistency
- Pre heat oven for 10 minutes in 350F /175 C
- Place butter paper or any sheet coated with butter in a cake pan
- Pour our cake mix in it. Add the cashew nuts as toppings
- Bake it for 15 minutes
- Cut it in to desired shapes
- Coconut Cake is ready to be Served!!! 🙂
