Coconut Cake -Baked

Coconut Sweets are always tempting and mouth-watering. In my childhood, my mom used to do coconut burfis at home during diwali times. So, I had in mind of trying out this recipe when I started to cook on my own. On the day I tried out the recipe, instead of standing near the stove for long time, I tried it out with Oven, which ultimately required less time from my end for the wonderful recipe. It came out more like cake than burfi 🙂


Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins

  • Maida -200 gms
  • Powdered Sugar  -175 gms
  • Coconut Scrapped -100 gms
  • Milk – 4 tbsp
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp (grinded)
  • Water as required
  • Baking powder – 1tbsp


  • Take a bowl , add maida, powdered sugar, grated coconut, milk, ghee and milk

  • Add water little by little to make a cake batter consistency

  • Pre heat oven for 10 minutes in 350F /175 C
  • Place butter paper or any sheet coated with butter in a cake pan
  • Pour our cake mix in it. Add the cashew nuts as toppings

  • Bake it for 15 minutes


  • Cut it in to desired shapes

  • Coconut Cake is ready to be Served!!! 🙂
