Kadala mittai is a very easy and simple sweet to try out at home. I myself was not aware of the fact that it can be quickly made at home when hearing about the process from my cousin. I used to buy groundnut cakes when studying school and it provoked me to try out the below recipe. It is really having a yummy yummy taste. Worth the try.
Ingredients:
Preparation Time : 5 mins | Cooking Time : 15 Mins
- Groundnut – 1cup (200 gms)
- Jaggery Powder – 3/4 powder (175 gms)
- Ghee
- Cardomom powder
- water as required
Method:
- Take a heavy bottomed vessel, add jaggery with 1/4 cup water
- Wait for the jaggery powder to get dissolved
- Once the jaggery powder gets dissolved, wait for some more time to get a required consistency ( check: take a bowl of water, now add a pinch of jaggery syrup like a line and if you try to take it, it should be strong not soft)
- Add groundnuts in it and saute it for 2-3 minutes and switch off the flame
- Grease a plate with ghee and spread out our mixture, cut it to our desired shape
