Manathakkali vathal vathakozhambu is a traditional south indian style vathakozhambu. It is very easy to prepare as lunch menu. It goes well with potato fry or sutta appalam. I got the recipe from my grandma who do wonders in cooking. She maintains her own style of preparing it. I normally prepares this recipe weekly once to have a traditional south indian lunch menu

Method:

- Put manathakkali vathal now, along with Sambar powder and salt ( if manathakkali vathal is salted, reduce the salt as per taste)
- Pour tamarind water, mix everything together and let it boil for another 15 minutes
- Once the water lowers to half, turn off the flame. ( take a tbsp of rice flour, mix with water without any lumps, add it into our vathakozhambu. this is to thicken it in case if needed)
