Panagam is normally prepared during summer times especially in the time of Rama Navami. During my childhood, when I visit any Ratha Yatras in my native place, or during the Akshaya Tritiyai festival, they used to distribute panagam, neer more to all people. These drinks are forms of energy booster. I love to have such drinks even at home on normal summer days to chill the temperature. It follows very simple process with 2-3 ingredients
Ingredients:
Preparation Time: 5 mins | Soak Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins | Serves: – 2-3
- Jaggery Powdered – 1/2 Cup
- Water – 3 Cups
- Cardomom Powder – 1/8 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Ginger juice – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Soak powdered jaggery in water for 15 minutes
- Filter jaggery to remove any impurities
- Add cardamom powder
- Add lemon juice, ginger juice and mix well
- Panagam is ready to serve
