Paneer Paratha is a traditional Indian paratha stuffed with Paneer. One day, when I had more paneer at home, I happen to try this recipe. I prepared it in a way with the ingredients I had at home. It came out really good and started making this paratha once in a week. I tried this recipe with Carrot / Mint Leaves instead of Paneer to make Carrot and Mint parathas
Ingredients:
Preparation Time: 10 mins | Wait Time: 30 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins/ paratha | Serves: 2-3
- Wheat Flour- 1 cup
- ghee- 2 tbsp (for dough making) + as per taste for making parathas
- Paneer (grated ) – 1 Cup
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Corainder powder – 1 tsp
- Amchur Powder – 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Corainder leaves
- green chilli – 1 ( finely Chopped)
- Water as needed
- Salt as required
Method:
- Take a wide bowl, add wheat flour, ghee and salt. Mix Wheat flour, salt, oil and water and start kneading
- Add water little by little and mix it for 5 minutes till we get a soft chapathi dough
- Close the dough in airtight container or cover with a wet cotton towel and set aside for 30 minutes
- Meanwhile, prepare stuffing mix by adding grated paneer, Garam Masala , cumin powder, Corainder powder , Amchur Powder, Corainder leaves, green chilli in a bowl and set aside
- After 30 minutes, split the dough, split into balls
- Using Rolling pin, make a thick round
- Now place prepared stuffing mix in the center, close the round and start rolling gently to form a flat paratha
- Heat a dosa tawa. Once hot, apply ghee over it and place paratha
- Flip other side as we do for normal chapathi/roti
- Ready to serve hot
