Tofu Stir Fry

Tofu is similar to Paneer but from Soy Milk and is highly rich in Protein. I used to make Paneer recipes at home. So, for a change wanted to try something new. My sister always tempted me to buy Tofu and make recipes with it. Eventually, I added Tofu in my regular grocery list. Stir Fry Tofu is one of the easiest recipes that can be made with Tofu. It requires few common veggies at home and can include other veggie of our choice. I saw the recipe in youtube, modified a bit and prepared the below recipe as a evening snack

Ingredients:

Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins

  • Tofu Cubes – 1 Cup ( 150 gms)
  • Ginger (finely chopped) -1 tsp
  • Garlic -2 pods (finely Chopped)
  • Onion – 1 (diced)
  • Tomato -1 (diced)
  • Capsicums – 1 (I have taken tri-colors)
  • Broccoli – 5 florets
  • Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Chilli Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Oil as required

Method:

  • Heat a dosa tawa. Once hot, place tofu cubes on top and wait till the side turns brown
  • Flip the side once everything turns brown. (Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes)
  • In a pan, add oil. Once hot, add ginger and garlic into it. Saute for 30 seconds
  • Add onion and tomato. Saute it for a minute. Capsicums, broccoli can be added now and allow the veggies to cook for 3 minutes
  • Put Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce and Salt. Mix everything together and lower the flame. Let it to cook for 2 minutes
  • Add fried Tofus and spring onions (Optional) in the mix
  • Close the lid and allow it to cook for some 5-7 minutes. Adjust the flame to Medium
  • Stir fry Tofu is ready to Serve
