Mango Rice recipe is a simple and quick rice variety. The recipe is so simple that requires cooking rice, temper it with grated mango mix. During mango season, trying out different mango dishes give us a delightful lunch menu choices.here comes the easy mango rice recipe
Ingredients to make Mango Rice:
- Grated raw Mango – 1 cup (remove skin and grate)
- cooked rice – 1 cup (250grams)
- mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- urad dal – 1 tsp
- channa dal – 1 tsp
- turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- grated ginger – 1 tsp
- green chili – 1 (slit)
- peanuts – 2 tbsp
- few curry leaves
- oil as required
- salt as required
Note: Cook Rice in ratio (Rice: Water = 1:2). Spread out evenly in a plate before starting the process
Method:
- In a pan, add oil
- once hot, add mustard seeds, let it splutters
- add urad dal, channa dal
- Sprinkle few curry leaves
- add a pinch of turmeric powder, green chili, grated ginger and peanuts
- let it cook for 3 mintues
- add grated mango in the pan along with required salt
- combine everything together and cook for 2 minutes
- cooked rice is added gently now
- mix it well without breaking the rice
Mango rice is ready to serve!!!
