Crispy Baby Corn 65 is a quick and easy snack or starter recipe. Before using the baby corns, blanch it in hot boiling water. This recipe involves simple three steps such as blanching the baby corns, preparing baby corns for frying by mixing the dry ingredients and water, forming a thick batter, combine with baby corns and deep frying in Oil. Ingredients to make Crispy Baby Corn 65:
- Baby Corns – 10-12
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
- All purpose flour/maida -1/4 cup (50grams)
- Corn flour -1/4 cup (50grams)
- garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- pepper powder – 1 tsp
- chili powder – 1 tsp
- salt as required
- water as required
- Oil As required
Method:
Step 1 – Blanching Baby Corns:
- In a vessel, boil 3 cups of water
- put baby corns in the water and cook for 5 minutes
- remove and keep this aside
Step 2- preparing baby corns for frying:
- in a bowl, add all dry ingredients – maida(all purpose flour), corn flour, turmeric powder, chili powder, pepper powder and salt(as required)
- Add a tsp of vegetable oil and mix it once
- Pour water (by adding partly). Approximately add 1/4 cup of water, form a thick batter
- add blanched baby corns in the bowl. combine it well
Step 3- Deep Frying:
- In a vessel, add oil for deep frying
- Once hot enough for deep frying, put baby corns carefully inside
- take out when both sides turn golden brown
Check if the oil is ready for frying: Put a small pinch of prepared thick batter in the oil, if it pops up immediately, oil is ready for frying
Crispy fried Baby corn 65 is ready!!!
