Garlic bread recipe is so simple and is similar to making bread with some stuffing in it. The recipe follows four easy steps such as yeast activation, preparing dough, stuffing and baking everything together in the oven. There Are Several Types To Prepare Garlic Bread And Sharing Here One Such Method To Make It. I always like dominos garlic bread, always order it whenever i order pizzas from dominos. I wanted to give a try at home. Sharing below the recipe of homemade Garlic bread

Ingredients to make Garlic Bread:

Preparation Time: 20 mins | Wait Time: 1.5 hours | Cook Time: 30 mins | Serves: 3-4

  • All purpose Flour – 2 cups (400 grams)
  • warm milk – 1/4 cup
  • sugar – 1 tsp
  • yeast – 2 1/4 tsp
  • garlic – 3 tbsp (Finely Chopped)
  • mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup (Shredded)
  • butter -3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • oregano as required
  • mixed italian herbs
  • water as required
  • Chili flakes as required
  • salt as required
  • oil as required


Step 1 – Yeast Activation:
  • in a bowl, add warm milk(1/4 cup), sugar (1tsp) and yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • mix it well without any lumps. keep this aside for 10 minutes
  • yeast gets activated in 10 minutes
Step 2- Dough Preparation:
  • once the yeast is activated, add all purpose flour (400grams), garlic (3 tbsp finely chopped), salt (as required), oregano
  • mix it once

Garlic can be added in paste form as well

  • pour 3/4 cup of warm water and Add A Tbsp Of Butter In It
  • knead everything together forming a dough
  • wrap it tightly and keep this aside for 1.5 hours for proofing
  • in the meantime, take a bowl
  • add melted butter (3tbsp), coriander leaves (2 tsp), oregano (1 tsp)
  • mix it well

after 1.5 hours

  • dough gets doubled its size now
Step 3 – Baking Garlic Bread:
  • take a parchment paper, spread the dough evenly into a oval shape (with 2mm thickness)
  • apply the prepared butter mixture on top
  • place shredded cheese, sprinkle few chili flakes (cheese can be added as per choice)
  • close it gently and seal the edges
  • layer some more butter mixture,italian herbs, chili flakes on top
  • mark few cuts evenly
  • pre-heat oven at 350F/180C for 10 minutes
  • place the baking tray inside and bake it for 25-30 minutes
  • serve hot with some cheese/garlic ranch!!
