Ragi or Fingermillet Porridge is a simple and healthy breakfast choice. Fingermillet recipes can be included in everyones diet specifically for those who wants to reduce weight. It can be quickly made in approximately 15 minutes and also it is 100% healthier recipe. It is a healthy, tasty porridge and nutrient drink recipe, made from finger millet or popularly known as ragi. It is having high in protein content and rich in minerals, and hence served for babies and diabetics. it is a popular drink in south india, but gradually picking up in other parts too. This recipe can be served to kids, babies, diabetic patients and also as for weight loss. ragi malt or ragi porridge is one quick and easy such nourishing recipe. In this recipe, i used fingermillet flour (store bought). Sharing the recipe below
Ingredients to make Ragi or Fingermillet Porridge:
Preparation Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins
- Ragi or Finger millet Flour – 2 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp (used cane sugar)
- milk – 1/2 cup
- assorted nuts
- water as required
Method:
pre-task: grind nuts into fine powder (Adding nuts powder is optional)
- In a small bowl, add ragi flour and water (1/2 cup)
- mix it well without forming any lumps
- boil water(1 1/2 cup) in a saucepan
- gently start adding ragi mixture we prepared, mix it well
- make sure to prevent any lumps formation
- stir it well for 3-5 minutes continuously or until the mixture gets thicken
- add nuts powder in the pan along with Sugar and milk
- combine everything together
- stir it until gets the desired consistency
- Ragi or Fingermillet porridge is ready!!!
