Filter coffee is a traditional South Indian Coffee having an unique taste, depending on the amount of coffee, sugar and milk in right proportion. In India, almost every restaurants is having a traditional filter coffee in the menu choice. Sharing below the recipe to make perfect filter coffee
Ingredients to make Filter coffee:
Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins
- Coffee Powder
- milk
- water
- sugar as required
Method:
Step -1 : Making Coffee Decoction:
- Fill Coffee powder until 3/4th of the top portion of Traditional filter
- gently tap the filter to level coffee powder evenly
- boil water (1.5 cups approximately) until bubbles start popping up
- Take a ladleful of boiling water, close with the lid
- water gets absorbed
- fill boiling water until brim. wait for 15 minutes for the decoction to drop in the bottom part of filter
- thick decoction will be ready now to make traditional filter coffee
Step-2 : Preparation of Filter Coffee:
- take a cup of milk (serves one person) and Boil milk
- in a tumbler, fill the coffee decoction until 1/4th
- fill with milk and sugar to taste
