Ingredients to make Eggless Red Velvet Cake:
- All purpose Flour – 1 cup – 200grams
- Sugar – 3/4 cup – 150grams
- baking powder – 1 tsp
- baking soda – 1/2 tsp
- cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
- butter – Unsalted – 100grams
- milk- 3/4 cup -150ml
- apple cider vinegar – 2 tsp
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
- food color – red – 1 tsp
For buttercream Frosting:
- Butter – Unsalted – 100grams
- powdered sugar -3/4 cup -150grams
Method:
Step 1 – Cake Preparation:
- In a wide bowl, add all dry ingredients such as all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder,baking soda, cocoa powder using sieve to avoid any lumps
- unsalted butter at room temperature is added and mix it well
- pour milk, apple cider vinegar and vegetable oil. Combine everything together without any lumps
- Add A Tsp Of Food Color And Mix It Well. Cake batter is ready
- in two 6″ cake pan, apply oil
- place parchment paper and pour the prepared cake batter
Step 2 – Baking:
- Pre-heat oven at 180C/350F
- place the baking trays in oven and bake it for 25-30 minutes
After 30 minutes of baking, take out
- pinch with a toothpick and batter should not stick to it
- allow the cake to come to room temperature
Step 3- Buttercream Frosting:
- In a bowl, add unsalted butter
- beat with blender for 5-7 minutes or until butter turns whitish
- add powdered sugar and blend it for 5 minutes
- frosting should raise its peak and not slipping down – check out the video
Freeze it for 30-40 minutes
Step 4 – Decorating the red velvet cake:
- in a flat surface, place some buttercream, layer with a cake
- some more topping for middle,place another cake on top
- more buttercream on top and sides
- layer it well and smudge it for smooth finish
- put some buttercream in a piping bag with desired shaped cake nozzle at the bottom
- decorate the cake
- finish some scrambled cake in the middle part
