Instant Kesar Milk Peda is so simple and quick milk sweet using condensed milk. the procedure is so simple that involves combining the ingredients and cook for 10-12 minutes time, will give a delightful and mouth-watering Kesar Peda. If wanted to make Milk peda without adding saffron strands, can simply add milk alone without saffron strands. Sharing below the recipe I recently made at home
Ingredients to make Instant Kesar Milk Peda:
- condensed milk -1 cup -150grams
- milk powder – 1.5 cups – 225grams
- cardamom powder – 1/8 tsp
- saffron strands – 5-7
- milk – 2 tbsp
Method:
- pre-soak saffron strands in warm milk for 10 minutes
- keep this aside
- in a heavy bottomed pan, add condensed milk with a tsp of ghee and cook for 3-5 minutes
- add milk powder in the pan. mix it well without making any lumps
- keep stirring the mixture for 10 minutes or until gets perfect consistency
Perfect consistency: mixture comes together without sticking to the bottom. (or) Take small portion of the mixture, roll it to a small ball, it should get sticky
- Turn off flame
- allow it to cool for 5 minutes
- After 5 minutes, take small portion of the mixture, roll it to a desired shape
- place a nut in the middle (optional)
- repeat the procedure
- Instant Kesar Milk peda is ready!!! it can be stored in air-tight container and can be consumed for a week
