
Paneer Bhurji is a popular and delicious North Indian breakfast recipe made from crumbled paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese). Bhurji Means Scrambled So This Dish Is Basically Scrambled Paneer Or Cottage Cheese. The recipe is so simple that involves spicy mixture of Onions, Tomatoes, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Green Chillies And Various Spices Is Then Used To Mix With The Scrambled Paneer. Step by Step instructions to make the recipe is below
Ingredients to make Paneer Bhurji:
- Paneer – 200 grams
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Green Chili-2 (finely Chopped)
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1 (finely Chopped)
- Tomato – 2 (finely Chopped)
- Turmeric Powder -1/8 tsp
- Chili Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Power – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala -1/2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves
- Lime Juice- 1/2 tsp
- Oil as required
- Salt as required
Method:
- Scramble the paneer (refer video)
- In a pan/kadai, add oil
- once hot, add cumin seeds and let it splutter
- add green chilies, ginger garlic paste gently
- saute it well
- finely chopped onion is added. cook for 2-3 minutes or until onions turn translucent
- finely chopped tomatoes are added
- mix it well
- add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and salt as required
- cook for 2-3 minutes
- Scrambled Paneer Is Added. Mix Well And Cook For 2-3 Minutes
- DO NOT OVERCOOK
- sprinkle few coriander leaves with half a tsp of lime juice
- paneer Bhurji is ready!!!
